ABOUT
At Conversations at Home, we recognize that behind every veteran is a lifetime of service, sacrifice, and stories that deserve to be heard. Yet many veterans face a quiet battle long after their service ends — one of loneliness, isolation, and disconnection.
The Veterans Program is designed to honor and support those who have served by providing consistent, meaningful human connection. Through one-on-one conversations, companionship visits, and community gatherings, we create space for veterans to share their experiences, rebuild a sense of belonging, and feel seen beyond their service.
Our approach is rooted in respect. Volunteers receive specialized training to engage with veterans in a way that acknowledges both the pride and complexity of their experiences. Whether through a weekly phone call, a shared cup of coffee, or participation in a small group of fellow veterans, each interaction is an opportunity to build connection.
